Marine Electronics Technician

Deep V Rigging Company specializes in installing Walleye boat electronics. Think stuff like:
- Batteries and Power Systems
- Trolling Motors
- Fish Finders and Navigation
- Networking Systems
We are currently seeking a Marine Electronics Technician to join our team. As a MET, you will be responsible for installing new electronics in boats as well as troubleshooting and repairing electric trolling motors.
We are not a shop that offers a "little bit of everything" so you won't experience the inefficiencies of moving from one job to the next.
You will have the opportunity to truly become an expert in your field - making your life as a technician "easier" as you gain experience.
Our core service customers include angler's who:
- Are looking for expert advice on electronics selection
- Want their stuff installed correctly
- Appreciate attention to detail
- Are frustrated from previous install work not functioning properly
- Visiting on vacation and need prompt trolling motor service
- Make their living as a guide and need prompt service
- DIY'ers that purchase their electronics from our website
Requirements:
- Must have a valid drivers license and be insurable
- Must agree to a background check
- Ability to bend, twist, turn, kneel, squat, and reach overhead
- Ability to take instruction and work with little supervision
- Self-motivated and understand the value of a strong work ethic and integrity
- Team player with focus on customer service and quality
- Navigating with a moral compass, doing the right thing every time
- Laser focus on continuous improvement
- Understands that our success begins with our employees
- Maintain clean and orderly work environment
- Complete assigned work in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
- Experience preferred with 12-36V DC wiring, wire connections/terminations, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Passionate about the boating/fishing industry is a huge plus
Candidates will have the opportunity to attend manufacturer training and obtain certifications from all of the major brands of fishing electronics:
- Garmin
- Minn Kota
- Humminbird
- Lowrance
In addition, gaining experience required toward obtaining the National Marine Electronics Technician Certification.
